This form is for faculty use only.
If you need a digital copy of a physical document, we can scan the item for you and deliver it to you as a PDF. We can digitize whole articles from Library-held periodicals. Digitized content from a book is capped at 10% of the total work according to educational fair use guidelines, which the Library will abide by.
- The Academy of Art University Library must own the book or periodical from which you are requesting digitized content.
- If the book or article is available through one of the Library's paid database subscriptions, you should use the electronic copy rather than requesting a digitized copy of the physical item.
- All digitization will be done at the Library’s discretion; if the Library deems the requested materials to be inappropriate for digitization, a librarian will work with you on alternative solutions.
In the form below, choose whether you would like your PDF to be OCR optimized (searchable) or flat (a regular PDF), and whether it should be in color or black and white.
You will be contacted by a librarian to discuss the details of your digitization project, including time to completion and method of delivery.
